Shepherd’s Pie with Ground Turkey

When I think comfort food, shepherd’s pie is one of the first things that come to mind. I absolutely adore it. It’s hearty, filling, so cozy, and is perfect for bitter cold days.

Traditional shepherd’s pie is made with ground beef or ground lamb. This recipe is a bit of a leaner version, but I promise it’s just as tasty. I also snuck a ton of veggies in there. Although it may taste divine and heavy, it’s actually a super well-balanced meal. It’s got lean protein from the turkey, and lots of fiber and micronutrients fro the veggies! I love making it in individual-sized baking dishes, so everyone has their own little dish of goodness. See the recipe below!
